In Definitions you enter all the 'fixed' information required by Share Manager. This is information that once entered doesn't need to be maintained often.

The database can contain any number of portfolios. A portfolio can contain a number of investors who are "related" in some way. This allows a total value of share holdings to be reported, but with each investor's transactions recorded separately for tax purposes.

Brokers Enter all details regarding your brokers, including brokerage fees.
Companies We have loaded information regarding companies trading on the Australian Stock Exchange. This includes industry group, subgroup and issue type. You can add new companies.
CPI Table The Consumer Price Index values from 1945 have been loaded into Share Manager. You maintain this table as new values become available.
Holder Identification Numbers
Share Manager automatically manages both broker sponsored and issuer sponsored share holdings.
Indexes This can be any index you want to monitor. You can also input information such as commodity prices.
Investors You can have any number of investors in a portfolio.
Registries Enter all share registry contact information.
Shares Identifies all the information regarding shares. This includes Security, Description and Share Type. Share Manager comes pre-loaded with Australian companies and securities to make it easy to set up your portfolio.
Unit Trusts Identifies all details regarding unit trusts.
